Service area · Cape Coral
Cape Coral is a city built for people who wanted space, a boat, and a house that was theirs. It is not built for a day when driving stops being sensible.
Four hundred miles of canals, long blocks, few sidewalks worth the name, and everything a fifteen-minute drive away. A neighborhood that worked beautifully at sixty-five can become genuinely isolating at eighty-five without a single thing changing except the ability to get in a car.
What we do in Cape Coral
Non-medical home care — the everyday help that lets someone stay in the house they chose:

Transport is usually the first thing
More Cape Coral families come to us about driving than anything else, and the geography is why. Most medical specialists are across the bridge in Fort Myers. The pharmacy is not walkable. Neither is anything else.
When the keys go here, the loss is bigger than in a walkable town. Reliable transport gives most of the independence straight back. It is often how families start, long before they think of themselves as needing care.
Snowbird families and out-of-state children
A lot of Cape Coral households are one person living alone in a house built for two, with adult children a thousand miles north and visits a few times a year.
That is a hard situation to assess from a distance, because a phone call always sounds fine. Having someone in the house regularly means somebody notices the things a phone call hides, and tells you.
Season and storms
Two practical realities here. Care books out fastest from Thanksgiving through to spring, so if you need holiday or vacation cover, arrange it early.
And storm season matters in Cape Coral more than most places. If your parent is alone here, have a plan before June: where they go, who is driving, what the medication situation is. We will talk it through at the assessment.
Getting started
