We come to the house at a time that suits, meet your loved one, and look at the whole picture — the stairs, the bathroom, the kitchen, the daily routine, and which parts of the day are hardest. You get a written care plan and a quote afterwards so you know exactly what it costs before you decide anything.

Plenty of families take the assessment and decide they are not ready yet. That is a perfectly good outcome, and the visit still leaves you with a clearer picture than you had.

What to have ready

Nothing formal. But it helps if you can think about:

• Which parts of the day are hardest — mornings, evenings, weekends
• What worries you most when you are not there
• Whether there is a doctor-prescribed diet or a mobility issue we should know about
• Roughly what hours would actually make a difference
• Whether anyone else — a home health nurse, a therapist — is already involved

If it is urgent

Call rather than email. Hospital discharges, a caregiver falling through, a sudden trip — we will tell you honestly and quickly whether we can cover it.
