Our services · Transportation & errands
The day the car keys go is one of the hardest days in a family. It is rarely about the driving. It is about the loss of being able to go anywhere without asking.
Reliable transportation gives most of that back — and for a lot of families it is the first service they use, long before they think of themselves as needing “care” at all.
Where we take people
- Doctor’s appointments, specialists, therapy and follow-ups
- The pharmacy — including waiting for the prescription rather than driving twice
- Grocery shopping, with help getting it into the house and put away
- The bank, the post office, the hardware store
- Hairdresser, barber, church
- Visits to friends, and to a spouse in a care facility
- Outings for no reason except a change of scenery
Door to door, not curb to curb
This is the difference between us and a taxi or a rideshare, and it is the whole point.
We come to the door. We help with the steps and the seatbelt. We park and walk in with them. We wait — in the waiting room, not in the car. We help carry things back in. Nobody gets left standing on a kerb in August waiting for a driver who cannot find the address.
Going in with them
If you want it, the caregiver goes into the appointment too. They take notes, keep track of what was said, and tell you afterwards.
Anyone who has asked a parent what the doctor said and got “oh, he was happy with me” knows exactly why this matters. It is not about second-guessing anyone — it is about the family actually knowing what the plan is.
We do not give medical advice or make decisions. We listen, write it down, and pass it on.
Booking it
Transportation works best as a standing arrangement — the same day each week, or a regular slot for appointments — rather than a scramble each time something comes up. It also folds naturally into companion or homemaker hours if your loved one needs more than a ride.
Let’s start with a conversation
Door to door, on their schedule. The in-home assessment is free, and there’s no obligation at the end of it.
